Class "A" Training

CDS Tractor Trailer Training is committed to providing professional CDL training and job placement assistance. Our workforce has many years of experience in trucking, training and placing new drivers.
 
Our school is located between Richmond and Fredericksburg in Woodford, VA. We offer full-time classes Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm for 4 weeks. Our part-time classes run Saturday-Sunday, 8 am-5 pm for 10 weekends.
 
Our truck driving school consists of classroom instruction, field training and on-the-road training. Students enjoy our hands-on approach and are in the trucks from day one.
 
CDS has 10 tractor trailers and 7 full-time instructors. This allows students more truck time and better quality training. Most schools operate with 1-2 trucks and instructors, training 10-15 students. At CDS, students train in small groups of 1-3 students per truck and instructor. It is a good idea to visit a school, observe the training, and talk to students before choosing a program. You are welcome to visit CDS.
 
Job Placement Services are our focus from the beginning of training. Students select the carrier they desire from many choices, and there are NO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS TO SIGN! We are there to assist with applications, answer questions, and guide students to a carrier they’ll be happy with.
 
Tuition costs $5,000. Students using their own resources receive a $1,000 discount to $4,000. CDS accepts MasterCard and Visa, and financing is available. Even with weak credit, we can still finance. Most carriers offer tuition reimbursement to help new drivers recover most, if not all, of their training costs!

Class "B" Training

CDS offers a 15-day program for Class "B" Training. This course certifies individuals to drive vehicles, such as dump trucks, large straight trucks, and mixer trucks. We train small, hands-on groups.
 
Like our Class "A" training, CDS has financing available. Tuition costs $3,500 for Class "B" training. A $500 discount is offered for cash or credit card payment, lowering tuition to $3,000.

Classes start every other Monday. Students can attend full-time Monday-Friday for 3 weeks or part-time for 7 weekends. CDS can also arrange an individual schedule.
 
CDS assists graduates with job placement. Most of these jobs are local and in high demand. Average earnings for  Class "B" CDL Drivers are $30,000-$45,000 during first year, depending on the area you live in.
 
A student can add a Passenger "P" endorsement for an additional $500.
