Financing Options

CLASS A: Tuition is $5,000, if you are financing. If you pay with cash or credit card, you will receive a $1,000 discount making the cost $4,000.

CLASS B: Tuition is $3,500, if you are financing. If you pay with cash or credit card, you will receive a $500 discount making the cost $3,000.

CDS accepts MasterCard and Visa. Always check your own resources first for the savings!

Most of the over-the-road carriers offer tuition reimbursement to new drivers. This is a benefit, like health insurance, and does not require an employment contract to sign. Most new drivers receive $100-$200 per month over and above their pay to help them get back most, if not all, of the money they invested in training. Many trucking companies will make the loan payment directly to Career Finance on behalf of the student. Students paying their tuition from their own resources will still receive tuition reimbursement in their paychecks monthly if the trucking company they choose offers this program.

GUARANTEED FINANCING: All students are guaranteed to receive a loan offer for CDL training at CDS. The amount of the loan is based on credit. Students with poor credit will still get a loan offer. In order to increase the amount of the loan offer, students with weak credit may want to get a co-signer or offer a car title for collateral.

CLASS A: Maximum Loan $4,000 CLASS B: Maximum Loan $2,500

Loans will be processed in 24-48 hours from receipt in the CDS office. Interest rates will be 21%. Payments average $100-120 per month and the first payment is due approximately 30 days after the scheduled graduation day.

Examples:

The $1,000 balance can be paid over the 4 weeks at $250/Mon or the 10 weekends at $100/Sat for Class A. The $1,000 balance can be paid over the 3 weeks at $350/week or 7 weekends at $150/Sat for Class B. Balances and payment arrangements will vary based on the loan amount approved for each student.
